Forghieri manufactures glass for forklift trucks, construction machinery, railway maintenance vehicles and all types of special vehicles internally.
We are the only Italian cab manufacturer with two plants, one dedicated to the framework structure and assembly (13,000 m2) and one dedicated to the glass (8,000 m2). This organization allows us to manage the entirety of production internally, with an integrated quality system for traceability and control of the processes and working times. This allows us to manage all potential risks of defects and coupling with the internally manufactured cabs. All processes also comply with international regulations, first and foremost Regulation ECE R43, which certifies the mechanical strength and optical quality of glass for vehicles.
In Forghieri’s glassworks, the production processes are structured and sequential: from glass cutting to grinding, drilling, and screen printing; from tempering of flat and curved panes through to wiring of defrosting elements, where required.
In our management of glass production, we have developed expertise, procedures and tools to meet requirements for both the “internal customer” – the assembly line for the cabs manufactured by Forghieri – and the “external customers” who purchase glass alone from us directly, whether plain or ready for installation.

It means following a structured development process, ranging from design through to production and assembly. During production, quality controls are performed on the line and on the finished product, through dedicated procedures performed directly by the production staff, instrument-based checks, and testing.
Yes, as well as glass for original equipment, our glassworks also produces spare parts for customer cabs, on the basis of dedicated commercial agreements.
