A Story of Evolution and Growth

Over 70 years of history rooted in Italy’s Motor Valley describe Forghieri’s evolution: from car bodywork to specialization in cabs and safety glass for forklift trucks, construction machinery, railway maintenance vehicles, and all types of special vehicles.

Our Journey

From Maserati bodywork to forklift trucks

Founded in 1953 by Bonfiglio Forghieri as an automotive coachworks, the company immediately set itself apart for its quality and reliability. In the 1950s, its partnership with Maserati consolidated Forghieri’s role as a top-drawer industrial partner. In the 1970s, the company oriented its operations towards bodywork for small vans and city cars for Lawil and, above all, cabs for forklift trucks, driven by the development of the ceramic manufacturing district in Sassuolo.

From integration of glass to co-design with customers

In the late 1980s the company established a division dedicated to tempered and curved glass for industrial vehicles and construction machinery, which expanded the company’s internal expertise and strengthened its market position. In the 2000s and 2010s, the introduction of 3D CAD and advanced production processes extended the fields of application, opening up to integrated design and co-design with customers. Today Forghieri, with 140 employees, is an international benchmark in the cabs and glass sector for forklift trucks, construction machinery, and special machinery.
