Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability

Sustainability is not a project with a deadline, but rather a structural change which involves the entire company: from the production processes to the energy choices, right through to materials management.

HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ENVIRONMENT (HSE)

A vision for the future: an ever-safer and more sustainable company

We want an accident-free workplace, rooted in training and shared knowledge. At the same time, we are committed to reducing our CO₂ emissions, increasing our use of renewable energy, and cutting our water consumption. We believe in the circular economy, and work with our partners to consistently increase levels of glass recycling, contributing to a decarbonized society which is attentive to natural resources. Our goal is clear: to make Forghieri a company able to create long-lasting value for all our stakeholders, the local area, and the global environment.

A RESPONSIBILITY PACT

Health, Safety and Sustainability in Numbers

We have implemented a clear strategy to increase our glass recycling, reduce our use of natural resources, and lower the environmental impact of our production. Glass is infinitely recyclable: this is why we believe in a supply chain which encourages recovery, regeneration, and reuse, in keeping with circular economy principles. The energy transition is a priority. The installation of solar panels in our production sites represents an important step towards energy independence based on renewable sources. We are also pursuing a path of increasing the efficiency of our natural gas consumption, with technologies which make us more sustainable without giving up on the quality which sets us apart.
