Logistics and Movement/Handling

We build cabs for forklift trucks, reach stackers, vehicles for containers, and sideloaders. Visibility, impact resistance, quality of materials and compliance with ECE R43 safety glass regulations are core requirements of our solutions, which guarantee operational precision and reduced risks thanks to perfect coupling between the metal structure and the glass.

Railway Maintenance

We design cabs for diagnostic trolleys and railed construction and maintenance vehicles, with robust structures, effective soundproofing and integrated climate control. EN 15085-2-certified processes for welding of railway vehicles guarantee safety and operational continuity even under the most demanding conditions.

Airport (Ground Support Equipment)

We design tailor-made cabs for tow tractors, pushbacks and dedicated baggage handling and ramp service vehicles. Our robust and reliable solutions are developed to guarantee safety and comfort even in extreme climate conditions. All glass is ECE R43 certified, guaranteeing that the strength, visibility, and durability meet international standards.

Agriculture

One of the areas of application for our integrated design is cabs for tractors and other agricultural machinery. Our solutions guarantee operator protection and maximum productivity in the field, thanks to cabs which undergo ROPS and FOPS testing, complete with elements such as panoramic windscreens, dust filters and climate control systems.

Earth Moving

We have perfected solutions for the cabs of excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, dumpers, and cranes. In this sector, customization is key: structural resistance, ergonomics, reduced vibration and maximum visibility are features which are always incorporated in our models, with ROPS/FOPS testing and equipped with ECE R43 compliant glass.

Public Transport

We work with bus and minibus manufacturers thanks to our expertise in glass processing. We customize windows, rear windows, and panoramic roofs with the required components, such as weatherstripping, sliding or vasistas windows, and double glazing. All solutions, certified to ECE R43, guarantee the highest standards of safety and durability, incorporating aesthetics and functionality in the vehicle’s design.

Highway and Urban Maintenance

We supply monocoque cabs for street sweepers and washers, snow plows, and other urban maintenance vehicles. Compact structures which are fully weather resistant and compliant with ECE R43 guarantee comfort and safety even during long shifts.

Special Off-Road Vehicles

We have experience in designing cabs for forestry vehicles and snow cats, designed to guarantee comfort and reliability in extreme environments. Our solutions, equipped with ECE R43 certified glass, guarantee the highest levels of safety, and can be ROPS/FOPS tested when required.

Adapted Special Vehicles

FAQ

How customizable are Forghieri cabs?

Every cab is unique - there are no standard models. Starting out from the shape and dimensions defined for the specific vehicle, customization involves the level of finish and trim, the paintwork, glass, accessories, interior, and delivery method (components to be assembled by the customer or complete turnkey cab). During the assembly phase we can wire the electrical system, install lights, windscreen washers/wipers, seats, climate control, and any other accessory, providing a plug & play cab if required. We also manage the selection and direct procurement of all accessories, with expertise gained in five decades of activity and hundreds of variants built for our customers.

How does a finished cab take?

The timeframes depend on the project's complexity, but Forghieri’s organization - from the feasibility study to prototyping, and on through to delivery - is designed to minimize the time-to-market without compromising on quality and conformity.

Do you offer an after-sales and spare parts service?

Yes, the spare parts service is an integral part of our offering: glass, weatherstripping and gaskets, locks, accessories, and other components are always available in order to guarantee operational continuity and reduce downtime.

What quality controls are applied?
